General aims of the subject

In Design and Technology students combine practical skills with creative thinking to design and make useful products.

Within this subject students investigate, design, plan, create, problem solve, question and critically evaluate their own work and that of others. The design and technology team are passionate about this subject and pride ourselves on creating a purposeful, inviting and supportive learning environment.

AS Product Design

This is a very popular course because it enables students to develop their creativity and inspires and challenges them. The course helps students to become independent learners and uses skills in decision making, critical analysis through individual and collaborative working.
