Visiting Professor " bowled over" by Rushcliffe lesson
Last Friday we were delighted to host Professor Tom Lowrie- an Australian Professor of Education. He's on a sabbatical for three months and is visiting schools acrosss the world. He spent an hour in a Rushcliffe maths lesson and was hugely impressed. It was a normal lesson. Nothing remarkable by Rushcliffe standards. Pupils learning things. Pupils knowing what level they were at and what they needed to do to improve. In fact the sort of thing that goes on in thousands of English classrooms everyday. We are told that we are lagging behind the rest of the world- but according to Professor Lowrie that's not the case. I've encouraged him to share his view with the Government !
