Last week we held information sessions for parents of Y7, Y10, Y11 and Y12 students. They were all well attended and it was really encouraging parents were to find out more about the way forward. The question and asnwer sessions at the end of each session hopefully showed that we want to hear what people think and what is troubling them. Each event provided good feedback and seemed to be appreciated by parents. We'll repeat the exercise in the future but will try to ensure our input is a little less wordy.
We are currently in the process of electing a Head Boy and Head Girl. This is a new development at Rushcliffe. We are keen for the Sixth Form to be represented at Governors meeting and for a Sixth Form Council to emerge under the leadership of the newly elected HB and HG. It's also an interesting attempt to introduce some electoral principles to the school - hustings, campaigns and election day.
