D&T Week
What is it about?
D and T week brings Design and Technology into the spotlight to recognize and celebrate the subject. Rushcliffe students will be able to participate in design and make challenges and activities during this week.
KS3 Lessons
For one week only Y7, Y8 and Y9 will complete a design award challenge in their DT lessons. The top 3 designs for each year group will win Olympic medals.
The Tower Challenge
On Wednesday the 27th June your team will have limited time and resources to produce the tallest and strongest tower but beware you could get very wet.
Teams will need to sign up with Mr Buck before Monday 25th June there are limited places so get your names to Mr Buck in DT ASAP.
Form Time Quiz
There are two design quizzes for tutor time and the first three correct entries win Olympic medals for their form.

Food and Textiles
Exciting competition in KS3 food lessons. We know you all like eating cakes!! Design a cake that will be suitable to celebrate the Olympic Games. The winning cakes will be made by the designer and Food Technology teachers.
Olympic medals will be awarded to the top 3 designs in each year.
Make a flag in textiles to represent your form’s Olympic country.
Form time quiz – guess the famous chefs and designers.
