Learning Resource Centre
The LRC is open from 8:15am until 4pm each day. There are approximately 8,000 book resources, collections of audio-cassettes, videos, DVD's and periodicals. There are 26 networked computers with internet access, Microsoft Office.
Connexions Library
This section has information about careers and life choices. Ask Staff for help in using this section if you need to. You can access careers software from any of the PC's
Borrowing from the LRC
You may have two books or audio CD's for two weeks. If this is not long enough please speak to the LRC staff. Please make sure you return or renew books on time! You may borrow video's and DVD's over night.

Reading Club
The reading club meets on Wednesdays. We discuss books we have read and do activities like quizzes, looking at reviews on the web, designing posters and having competitions. in the summer term we shadow the Carnegie Medal. To read our reviews click here.

A useful and fun site run by a UK primary teacher. Has a number of reviews by Mrs Mad. Children can also submit their own comments on the books featured, and can submit their own name, age and story preferences to get a list of books recommended for them
An excellent site designed and run by 2 teenage boys, aimed at 10-15 year old readers. Reviews are written by 10-15 year old reviewers. Books are organised into categories such as Action, Sci-Fi, Fantasy, Freinds etc.
Attractive site where children can submit their own poems, or reviews of poetry books. Includes interviews with well-known poets, competitions, teacher's zone and links to other children's poetry's site.
